Gift Our Holiday Blend, Support Women Coffee Farmers In Nicaragua

November 8, 2021

We are thrilled to announce our latest Seasonal Release coffee, our annual Holiday Blend. This delicious blend was specifically created as a flavorful way to ring in the holiday season! Featuring coffees from Nicaragua and Indonesia, it makes a delightful, medium-bodied cup with tasting notes of cocoa, citrus and spice. It’s a festive way to savor your holiday mornings and makes a perfect pairing for all kinds of baked goods, cookies and desserts.

What’s more, however, this coffee is also our way of giving back this holiday season! The blend features Tierra Madre coffee produced exclusively by women farmers in Jinotega, Nicaragua, who are direct trade partners with us.

Tierra Madre coffee sells at a premium to other Nicaraguan coffees in order to help its farmers obtain legal title to their land. In addition to having already paid this premium, Pegasus Coffee is proud to also contribute 10% of all Holiday Blend sales directly to the Tierra Madre Farmers Association.

This holiday season marks the third consecutive year we are inviting our customers to join us in raising money for the hard-working farmers who cultivated this unique coffee.

You can purchase the Tierra Madre Holiday Blend is available now for a limited time on our websiteand at our original Coffee House on Bainbridge Island.

About Pegasus Coffee

Pegasus Coffee has hand-roasted small batches of high-quality arabica coffee on Bainbridge Island since 1979. A pioneer from the beginning, Pegasus introduced the European-style coffee house to the region at its first store on Bainbridge Island in 1980. Shortly thereafter, Pegasus made history when it opened the first coffee bar in downtown Seattle. The company’s innovative spirit and dedication to the roasting craft have led to the unique, delicious blends and single-origin coffees – and the loyal customer following – it is still known for today.
